You are invited to a family friendly Friday night social with a purpose, at the Greenland campus. You do not need to sponsor a child with Compassion International, or any organization, to attend. There will be Pizza served, kids activities and guest speakers including Tom Dryska who sponsors a child, and Ben Mwangi, who is a sponsored child. Please RSVP by January 20 by emailing Nancy or Sandy.
Sponsoring children in need is breaking the cycle of poverty
Compassion International exists as a Christian child advocacy ministry that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and physical poverty and enables them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults.
Founded by the Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care, as well as Christian training. Today, Compassion helps more than 1 million children in 26 countries.
If you currently sponsor a child with Compassion, please consider writing him or her as an important follow-up to your support. These personal touches mean so much to the children. Compassion makes the whole process very simple. Just click on this Write My Child link, where you can set up an online account to write your letters on the web. Check it out!
