Bethany's Membership process includes 4 courses, called the Life Discovery Series. The Life Discovery Seminars have been designed to help you pursue God’s purposes for your life. The series is comprised of four consecutive 3-hour seminars held on Sunday nights. Each seminar is free of charge, including nice dinner, helpful materials, a stimulating learning opportunity through teaching and discussion, and childcare if needed. The seminars are:

101	Discovering Church Partnership
	During this seminar you will hear all about Bethany's mission, vision, beliefs, and ministries. This is the class where you can commit to join the church in membership, although you may take the seminar and decide to join at a later date. Anyone is welcome to attend the class, but we encourage you to get a feel for Bethany over the course of at least several months before you decide to join.
201	Discovering Spiritual Development
	This class focuses on our Clear Pathways for Spiritual Growth.  We take a Personal Spiritual inventory and then create a Personal Spiritual Growth Plan.  This is where we emphasize the importance of "Turning the Inside Out."
301	Discovering Your Calling
	Everyone wants to make a difference with their life, and the great news from God is that He has gifted and equipped you in many ways for serving Him by serving and helping others in volunteering and ministry. Finding a meaningful place to serve helps each of us contribute to God's work in the church and to discover meaning and fulfillment from giving and helping others. Key components of the seminar include: * Understanding Your Call to Ministry * Discovering your unique place in ministry, based on your spiritual gifts, heart and experiences * Learning of all the various ministry and service opportunities and how to get involved.
401	Discovering Your Mission
	Class 401 will inspire, encourage, equip and embolden you to successfully engage in God's mission for your life; to be salt and light, and help others to know Christ. Areas we will cover are: * How to Share Your Life Story * Understanding the Gospel * Lifestyle Evangelism * Talking to People About God in a Natural Way * Becoming a World Christian * Finding Answers to Tough Questions

By taking this series, you will have an opportunity to:
* Learn all about Bethany Church. * Meet and interact with Bethany Pastors, Staff, and Leaders. * Be able to partner with Bethany by becoming a member of the church. * Discover key truths and tools to aid in your spiritual journey. * Get involved in a small group and find a meaningful place to serve God. * Develop new friendships with others. * Start moving along the Bethany Roadmap of the Christian Life, "Turning the Inside Out to Draw the Outside In."

Our requirements for membership are: * You have a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. * You have been baptized at some time in your life (adult baptism is offered along with the class). * You agree with our statement of faith. * You commit to living a godly lifestyle as discussed in our Membership Covenant. * You commit to finishing the Discovery series by taking 201, 301 and 401.
